Open the door, lower the ramp, call the elevator with your smartphone: Rostec has created a smart building access technology

The SmartAirkey system will improve the comfort of the urban environment

«RT-Project Technologies» (part of Rostec) presented the SmartAirkey unified urban access system at the Digital Industry of Industrial Russia conference (CIPR-2024). The IT solution will help people with disabilities (PWD) use home infrastructure — elevators, ramps, entrance doors, the corporation's press service reported.

The SmartAirkey automated system opens any electromechanical and electromagnetic locks with a digital cryptographic key directly from a mobile application. The system is focused on people with disabilities, emergency workers, and couriers.

It will be more convenient for a person in a wheelchair to enter the entrance, as the program will automatically open the doors to the entrance and lower the ramp.
Alexander Nazarov, Deputy Head of Rostec

SmartAirkey can also call an elevator, activate a wheelchair lift, open or close the door to an apartment. Information about the use of digital keys will be monitored through a centralized management system.

Large enterprises have already begun installing SmartAirkey software in elevators of their own production. In the future, the system is planned to be installed when houses are put into operation and integrated into the infrastructure of ready-made residential complexes.

Earlier www1.ru reported that two new technology parks will appear in Moscow.
