According to Sergey Chemezov, head of the state corporation Rostec, it is impossible to achieve the required number of drones with "garage" production in Russia. He shared his thoughts on this matter in a recent extensive interview with RBC.
You won't achieve the required quantity in garage production. Perhaps you can create a product, but it needs to be done on a massive scale. And not all enterprises are taking this on because additional funds are needed to expand production, purchase materials, and so on.
At the same time, Chemezov noted that there are examples of rapid scaling of small private productions in Russia. One of them is a company that produces the Superсam drone for the Armed Forces.
They opened a workshop of 35,000 m², and are training pilots and manufacturing, a full cycle. There are enough unmanned aerial vehicle productions today, and the Ministry of Defense's needs are generally being met.
