The Shchelkovo City Court has sentenced the head of the laboratory of the Scientific and Production Enterprise (NPP) \"Istok\" (part of Rostec) and her three accomplices in a case of theft on an especially large scale. Members of an organized criminal group stole military equipment worth 304 million rubles. This was reported in the press service of the capital's FSB Directorate of Russia.
According to the investigation, the head of the laboratory of NPP \"Istok\" from 2012 to 2021 drew up false documents for serviceable military products. She indicated that the products were defective and needed to be sent for disposal. Subsequently, the defendants in the criminal case took the products out of the factory and handed them over for sale.
All defendants pleaded guilty and cooperated with the investigation. The court sentenced the head of the laboratory to four years of probation. The driver and an employee of the enterprise received three years of imprisonment in a general regime colony. The director of the company, who sold the stolen products, was sentenced to two years of imprisonment.
