Dealers of the XCITE brand have begun preparing presentations on X-Cross 7 cars and training warranty engineers. Showrooms still don't know when the cars will arrive to them.
As of today, dealers have no information about the date of arrival of the first cars. They are only instructed to start preparing presentation materials
XCITE X-Cross cars are a renamed Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. It is assembled at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg. Initially, the cars were planned to be sold in April, but then the dates were shifted. The exact reasons for this decision are unknown.
Industry experts believe that Chery may have put cooperation with AvtoVAZ on hold (the cars were originally planned to be assembled under the LADA brand) due to statements by the president of the Russian auto giant, Maxim Sokolov, about Chinese companies. He stated that automakers from China provide customers with discounts that exceed the recycling fee. After that, the Ministry of Industry and Trade began to talk about the need to index the recycling fee.
