Authorized Apple service centers in Russia have run out of original spare parts for iPhone and Macbook, according to independent analyst Sergei Vilyanov.
The warranty on equipment purchased before February 2022 has expired. Against this background, Apple stopped supplying components to Russia. The latest IPhone 14 and 15 models are not serviced in the Russian Federation, and components for previous generations of smartphones were last sent in December 2023.
Sources in the electronics market said that against this background, it has become common practice to replace Apple components with original spare parts from other devices. At the same time, some companies send equipment in need of repair to CIS countries. This has increased the cost of servicing American equipment.
Earlier, Roskachestvo stated that Apple has the ability to disable its devices in Russia.
