The B-10 armored personnel carrier (APC) (Object 693) on the medium-sized advanced "Kurganets-25" platform was filmed during testing at a training ground. The APC is equipped with an additional float in the front of the hull to overcome water obstacles. The same design element was installed on the BMP B-11.
The floating B-10 APC is designed to transport motorized rifle units and provide fire support to soldiers. It was first shown at the Victory Parade in 2015.
The combat weight of the B-10 APC is 25,000 kilograms. It is equipped with a 750 hp engine. The crew of the vehicle is three people. The APC can carry up to eight paratroopers. The power reserve is 800 kilometers.
The B-10 APC on the "Kurganets-25" platform is equipped with a remotely controlled combat module with a 12.7-mm Kord machine gun stabilized in two planes. In daylight, the range of engagement of targets is 3000 meters, and at night - 1500 meters. Ammunition load - 800 rounds. The combat module without cartridges weighs 1000 kg.
Recall that work with the "Kurganets-25" platform is still ongoing. Military experts do not rule out that deliveries of equipment to the troops will begin in the coming years.
