The newest frigate "Admiral Golovko" (Project 22350), built according to the "Northern PKB" project by St. Petersburg shipbuilders "Severnaya Verf", has set out to the Barents Sea for exercises. This was reported by the press service of USC.

In the Barents Sea, which washes the shores of Russia and Norway, the crew will practice the ship's individual training for anti-sabotage defense. The sailors will perform grenade throwing and firing at a floating mine.

These are multifunctional warships that carry high-precision missile weapons, including hypersonic "Zircon" missiles. There are three such frigates in the Russian fleet: "Admiral Gorshkov", "Admiral Kasatonov", "Admiral Golovko". Five more ships are being built at the USC shipyards.

Earlier, minesweepers "Anatoly Shlemov", "Petr Ilyichev", "Yakov Balyaev" of the Pacific Fleet conducted maneuvers near Kamchatka.
