Conveyor assembly of LADA Aura has started at AvtoVAZ, according to insiders. Prior to this, the car was assembled in pilot batches.
The first batch assembled directly by conveyor method will consist of 8 cars
According to insiders, several thousand cars can be produced per year. In addition to the main version, a simplified version of LADA Aura without leather interior and premium audio system will also appear. This model is suitable for taxi fleets.
As a reminder, the car is mainly created for officials. President Vladimir Putin ordered officials to switch to domestic cars. Several cars from the pilot batch are in the fleets of the Federation Council and the Ministry of Finance. Previously, Aura was liked by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov.
Aura is an extended Vesta. It is equipped with a 1.8 EVO engine from AvtoVAZ and a Chinese variator. The exact cost of the car is still unknown. "VAZ employees" promise that the cars will be released on the market in the second half of 2024.
