From May 1, 2024, transfers of up to 30 million rubles between own accounts will become free in Russia. Funds can be sent through the Faster Payments System (FPS) by phone number, using a mobile application, as well as from a personal account on the bank's website.
The changes will not only allow citizens to transfer their funds between banks without unnecessary expenses, but will also contribute to the development of competition and improve the quality of banking products.
The innovations are especially convenient for those customers who withdrew money at one branch in order to deposit it into an account at another.
Note that free transfers between accounts will not apply to transfers by card number and transfers of funds at bank branches.
