Russian companies that are personal data operators may be required to provide the possibility for Russians to withdraw their data in electronic form. The corresponding bill was submitted to the State Duma by LDPR deputies.
The explanatory note to the amendments to the law "On Personal Data" states that Russians currently have to write a written appeal to the company that stores personal data. The Roskomnadzor register includes more than 945,000 personal data operators.
According to Deputy Stanislav Naumov, these companies store too much information. If Russians had the opportunity to revoke it in one click, it would be more convenient.
