The Krasnogorsk creators of the Russian electric snowbike "Snegir" brought it to "Moto Vesna" at Expocentre. And not only it: the exposition included electric sleds and a mobile tracked electric platform with a carrying capacity of 300 kilograms from the same team.
The developers have not yet publicly disclosed the characteristics of the mobile electric platform on the Web. But the Avtopotok automotive Telegram channel learned a little about it. Thus, the chassis of the electric platform is based on components from the Russian Buran snowmobile. So far, the platform operates remotely via wired control, but it is planned to transfer it to radio control. It is capable of carrying up to 300 kg of various cargo and operating autonomously for several hours.
There are many tasks for which the platform can be used, one of the most interesting is the fight against hogweed thickets. For the Krasnogorsk urban district, the actively growing poisonous plant has been a major problem for several years, as it is for a number of other Russian regions.
It can be assumed that the electric platform may find not only civilian applications. Russia already has similar examples of tracked mobile platforms. For example, the Alter rescue robot with a carrying capacity of 200 kg. Or the modernized robotic platform SEM-350 — Veteran for transporting the wounded from the front line to the rear, transporting cargo, and mining.
Electric sleds appeared in the "Snegir" family relatively recently, and so far the developers have not described their technical characteristics in detail. As for "Snegir", the most famous development of Krasnogorsk residents, it has been exhibited and sold for more than a year. Electric snowbikes are still assembled only in small-scale production, but there is no shortage of interested parties.
In the basic version, the "Snegir" electric snowbike is capable of overcoming snow barriers of more than 60 centimeters and is essentially an electric snowmobile. But the creators consider it an electric snowbike because of its similarity to a sports motorcycle in terms of characteristics and endurance. It can reach speeds of up to 64 kilometers per hour and carry a maximum load of up to 200 kilograms with its own weight of 115 kilograms.
The "heart" of the electric snowbike is a proprietary transmission with an electric motor up to 25 kW. The power reserve of a standard 4 kW/h battery with a 2 kW charger is two hours of driving, or 40 kilometers. At the same time, batteries can be installed for an additional fee at 6, 8 and 10 kW/h with the replacement of the charger with a 4 kW device.
"Snegir" also works in the cold: testing in the Polar Urals showed that at -30 degrees Celsius on difficult terrain with maximum load, the power reserve exceeded 30 kilometers.
In the recently tested modernized version, "Snegir" received:
- change of steering spacers for a more ergonomic ride sitting and standing;
- ground hook on the track, which allows you to ride in deep snow;
- reduced energy consumption by increasing the rollers;
- change of ski attachment for maneuverability;
- a 75 Amp-hour battery, which is enough for a three-hour walk of 16 km. According to the developers, they still had about 20% charge left during such operation;
- emergency killSwitch;
- recuperation mode for blocking the track on a steep descent.
