The Russian operating system developer "Basalt SPO" has released the first technological complex in Russia for assembling software, "Alt Platform."
With its support, the client can create a full-scale digital infrastructure from Russian components: from simple applications to an operating system with a set of application programs. The "Alt Platform" includes:
- bank of software packages (repository);
- environment and tools for assembling and replicating digital products from verified components;
- assembly profiles of operating systems that can be customized to the needs of the company by adding their own or third-party software.
All products created by customers will be compatible with the "Alt" family of operating systems and the application software running on them. The "Alt Platform" also comes with technical support from company representatives on product deployment, distribution assembly, repository maintenance, including security updates. The developers believe that their product will be in demand by both private and public companies.
There are two main groups of customers who will find the "Alt Platform" useful. Firstly, developers creating specialized operating systems for equipment: ATMs, industrial controllers, fire extinguishing systems, etc. Secondly, large corporations that need to install an operating system adapted to their infrastructure with a specific set of application software on tens and hundreds of thousands of workplaces, and then modify and update it from a single center.
The technological complex has already been included in the Unified Register of Russian Software. You can download and test it on the official website of the manufacturer.
