AnyCaps Water Transport Sharing App to Launch in May

The company "Captains" will launch Russia's first mobile application for sharing water bikes and small vessels, AnyCaps, in May 2024. Approximately 15 million rubles have been invested in the project.

The management of "Captains" intends to raise funds to purchase its own fleet and occupy 25% of the tourist water transport rental market in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region within three years.

According to the CEO of the company, Roman Zharikov, with the help of the AnyCaps application, residents and tourists will be able to quickly find transport for a walk along the rivers and canals of the Northern capital.

At the same time, the rental price will be set by the owners of the vessels. On average, it can range from 4,000 rubles to 50,000 rubles per hour, depending on the vessel.

The company is currently equipping a beach in the Leningrad Region and on Lake Ladoga in Karelia. In the summer, water transport rentals from "Captains" will appear in other regions of Russia.

What Experts Say

The "Captains" project is called ambitious, but promising. According to the head of "Infoline-Analytics," Mikhail Burmistrov, the service will be in demand against the background of the growth of domestic tourism.

A representative of Avito, Ilya Zarembo, stated that it has become fashionable to rent water transport in St. Petersburg. Last year, the growth in the number of offers on the market in the Northern capital increased by 80% compared to 2022.
