Omsk-based company Policon has developed a unique aircraft tire assembly machine specifically for the Tu-214 passenger aircraft. It will replace outdated Soviet equipment.
The machine is designed for the second stage of assembling the Tu-214 aircraft tire. The machine's productivity is 4 tires per hour. At the same time, the company has additional interchangeable units for assembling tires with a landing diameter from 19 to 22 inches.
Policon reported that there are no analogues of such equipment in the country. The machine has already been tested and shipped to the customer.
In 2023, Omsk engineers presented a complex for the production of tires for the MC-21 and SJ-100 aircraft. This will allow import substitution of tires from Western companies Goodyear and Continental, which have left the Russian market.
