Thirty new green city buses NEFAZ 5299-40-52 are being prepared for launch on the lines in Yekaterinburg. They have already been equipped with validators, air conditioners and cameras, and ahead is registration with the traffic police and assignment of state numbers.
NEFAZ 5299-40-52 is a comfortable city diesel bus with a completely flat floor without steps. It differs from other city buses by its bright, spacious interior with LED lighting, a wide storage area and a large glazing area. NEFAZ 5299-40-52 also has a kneeling system: it tilts towards the opening of doors for easy entry and exit of passengers.
Inside the bus there are 29 seats, plus one seat for people with disabilities, its total passenger capacity is 111 people. It has a ramp for entering strollers and people with limited mobility: the transport fully complies with the «Accessible Environment» program.
For the safety of passengers, the bus is equipped with a system for monitoring the driver's performance. All conditions have been created for him to work: from a pneumatically suspended seat with headrest and backrest tilt adjustment to a touch screen display showing the main parameters of the bus and improved visibility from the windows.
For now, the new buses will serve five routes, three of which are connected to the city metro. These are No. 85 «Medny village – Institute of Communications», No. 88 «Shabrovsky village – Botanicheskaya metro station», No. 91 «Gorny Shchit village – Botanicheskaya metro station», No. 95 «Chusovskoye lake – Institute of Communications», No. 97 «Rudny village – Botanicheskaya metro station».
