Lukashenko exempted equipment with no analogues in Belarus from VAT upon import

RSPP: Belarusian electronics began to be equated with Russian ones

Alexander Lukashenko, by presidential decree, exempted technological equipment imported into Belarus from value-added tax (VAT) if there are no analogues in the country.

This measure also applies to components and spare parts. However, the benefit will only be valid if a conclusion is provided by an authorized government body regarding the absence of analogues in Belarus. The company importing the equipment must register it as a fixed asset and use it in production.

Belarusian microelectronics began to be equated with Russian ones

The head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Alexander Shokhin, stated earlier that analog base matrix crystals produced in Belarus have been equated to Russian ones. Such microcircuits are needed for signal amplifiers.

Experts believe that the adoption of such a decision is an important step in the integration of Russia and Belarus, and the unification of the scientific and technical potentials of the countries. It is expected that this will increase the chances of Russian electronics being included in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
