Roscosmos has shown the installation of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket at the Vostochny launch complex for the launch of the Meteor-M No. 2-4 hydrometeorological satellite.

The mobile unit of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket with the Meteor-M No. 2-4 satellite was taken to the launch site early in the morning. Specialists spent several weeks on preparation for the launch.

Meteor-M No. 2-4 is a multifunctional satellite. Among its responsibilities:
- hydrometeorological support, climate and environmental monitoring;
- studying the Earth's natural resources;
- monitoring the helio-geophysical environment in near-Earth space;
- receiving information from automatic data collection measuring platforms and retransmitting signals from emergency radio buoys of the COSPAS-SARSAT international satellite search and rescue system.

After the delivery and installation of the carrier at the launch site, Roscosmos specialists continue to prepare it for launch.
