Three new metro lines — Troitskaya, Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya, Biryulevskaya — will be built in Moscow by 2030. Also, 39 new stations will appear in the capital, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
The transport system will also actively develop in the Moscow region. Authorities plan to reconstruct 125 stations of the MCD and MCC. And trains connecting Moscow with the largest cities of Central Russia will run 6 times more often.
According to Sobyanin, the Yaroslavl and Paveletskoye railway lines will be integrated into the tariff system of the capital's transport. In fact, the ticket system will become unified, covering all suburban directions.
The Moscow Metro includes 14 lines with a length of more than 466 km. Together with the MCC and MCD, there are 393 stations in the city. The capital's authorities plan to extend the MCD to Tula, Kaluga, Tver and other nearby cities.
