Documents for an industrial design of the promising BAZ-S36A11 truck, which will be assembled at the former MAN plant in St. Petersburg, have appeared in the Rospatent database.
The Bryansk Automobile Plant presented the semi-trailer tractor in the spring of 2023. It is expected to replace the trucks of brands that have left the Russian market.
Technical characteristics of the new BAZ:
- three driving axles
- 6x6 wheel arrangement
- carrying capacity - 40 tons
- Russian YaMZ-6531 engine with 422 hp
- independent suspension
- transmission from BAZ-6909
It is noted that the cab is made using frame-panel technology: the frame is welded from pipes, and the panels are made of composite materials. The truck is designed to serve the oil and gas sector.
Earlier, the management of KamAZ set an ambitious plan for 2024 - to produce 15 thousand K-5 trucks.
