At the World Defence Show 2024 international arms exhibition in Saudi Arabia, a representative of SRI "Vector" (part of the "Ruselectronics" holding of the Rostec State Corporation) spoke about plans to refine the "Serp" anti-drone system for its deployment on naval vessels and floating platforms.
There are specific requirements for devices operating on ships and in water areas. Our products can certainly provide cover for port infrastructure. Regarding the placement of the "Serp" system on ships, negotiations are underway with customers to refine it to meet the requirements for devices placed on ships and floating equipment that are resistant to operation in a marine environment.

At the exhibition in Riyadh, SRI "Vector", which develops and manufactures various UAV detection and countermeasures systems, brought the latest model in the "Serp" line — "Serp-VS6", as well as a radio monitoring module that allows determining the location of the UAV operator. The exhibits attracted the attention of one of the largest arms suppliers in Africa. According to the SRI representative, the supplier highly appreciated the quality of the "Zashchita" UAV countermeasures system ["Serp-VS6" and RM module — editor's note www1.ru] and expressed interest in joint production of this system with Russia.

A company representative announced ongoing negotiations with potential customers about the possibility of placing the "Serp" complex on a wheeled chassis. This update will allow "Serp" to provide cover for both the vehicle itself in motion and cover a certain area around it, which significantly expands its functionality and applicability.
