At the World Defence Show 2024 international arms exhibition in Saudi Arabia, a representative of the SRI "Vector" (part of the "Roselectronica" holding of the Rostec State Corporation) spoke about plans to refine the "Serp" anti-drone system for its placement on marine vessels and floating platforms.

At the exhibition in Riyadh, SRI "Vector", which develops and manufactures various UAV detection and counteraction systems, brought the latest model in the "Serp" line - "Serp-VS6" as well as a radio monitoring module that allows you to determine the location of the UAV operator. The exhibits attracted the attention of one of the largest arms suppliers in Africa. According to a representative of the SRI, the supplier highly appreciated the quality of the "Zashchita" UAV counteraction system ["Serp-VS6" and RM module - editor's note www1.ru] and expressed interest in joint production of this system with Russia.
We need systems like the ones presented here. Earlier, the exhibition was visited by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov. He instructed to increase the production volumes of these systems.

A company representative announced ongoing negotiations with potential customers about the possibility of placing the "Serp" system on a wheeled chassis. This update will allow "Serp" to provide cover for both the vehicle itself in motion and cover a certain area around it, which significantly expands its functionality and applicability.
