The "MilFoods" company has launched a production line for manufacturing coffee capsules under the Poetti brand in the "Borovlevo-2" industrial park near Tver. This was reported by the press service of the Tver Region government.
Investments in the launch of the line exceeded 100 million rubles. The production technology is as follows: roasted coffee, after grinding, is packaged in an aluminum capsule. This occurs in a protective nitrogen environment, which preserves the properties of the coffee.
Poetti capsules are compatible with Nespresso coffee machines. The manufacturer currently offers six different flavors in two lines: Leggenda and Soul.
According to Mikhail Glukhov, Marketing Director of "MilFoods", localizing production will help make premium coffee 30-40% more affordable than foreign counterparts. The company promised that the products would go on sale on March 1, 2024.
The manufacturer of capsules and coffee machines Nespresso (owned by Nestle) left Russia in 2022. There were no alternatives to its products on the market.
