Roscosmos announced the launch date of the Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft to the ISS - March 21, 2024. The ship itself has already been deconserved and all its systems are being checked. Cosmonauts and their understudies are also preparing for the flight, and the orbit has already been corrected at the ISS to receive the 21st expedition.
As part of the crew to the ISS on March 21, Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, the first female cosmonaut from Belarus Marina Vasilevskaya and NASA astronaut Tracy Caldwell-Dyson will go.
Twelve days later, Novitsky and Vasilevskaya will return to Earth on Soyuz MS-24 along with NASA astronaut Loral O’Hara. Tracy Caldwell-Dyson will remain on the ISS.
The emblem of the Soyuz MS-25 crew is made in the shape of a shield, which means victory and achievement of goals. The emblem in the shape of a triangle contains the names of the flight participants, as well as the national flags of the participating countries of the expedition.
This form, as noted in Roscosmos, symbolizes the unity of the crew. There was also a place on the emblem for the crew’s call sign, an image of the spacecraft, and the logo of the Russian State Space Corporation.
