The "Mechanical Repair Complex" (part of the MMK group) in the Chelyabinsk region is preparing a site for a new production facility - a new heavy engineering workshop will appear there.
The plant, the construction of which will cost 5 billion rubles, will produce material-intensive equipment for the mining and metallurgical and machine-building industries of Russia. These are:
● equipment for continuous casting machines;
● overhead cranes for metallurgical production;
● slag trucks with a lifting capacity of up to 500 tons;
● converters and support rings;
● steel-teeming and pig-iron ladles with a capacity of 50 to 350 tons;
● blast furnace shells;
● mixers and mixer trucks with a lifting capacity of 600 tons;
● rotary kilns and grinding mills;
● dump truck bodies with a lifting capacity of up to 225 tons.
In total, the workshop will be able to produce about 12 thousand tons of machine-building products per year, and they hope to launch production in it in the third quarter of 2025.
