"Penicillin" uncovers the "abscess" of enemy artillery: Ministry of Defense shows footage of the latest reconnaissance complex in action

It became known how the "Penicillin" complex created by Ruselectronics works

The latest artillery reconnaissance complex "Penicillin", developed by specialists from the "Vector" Research Institute, which is part of Ruselectronics, uncovers enemy positions. The system accurately identifies self-propelled howitzers, HIMARS MLRS, and enemy artillery guns.

"Penicillin"
This is a sound receiver, it determines where the enemy artillery is located. "Penicillin" surrounds the enemy with acoustics, providing accurate coordinates to the command post. From there, a decision is made to strike.

The press service of Ruselectronics explained that the complex analyzes the signals received by the sound-receiving devices from the firing of artillery and mortar guns. The high sensitivity of the "Penicillin" sensors allows detecting enemy guns at a distance of up to 50 km.

Due to the fact that the complex combines the principles of thermal and acoustic reconnaissance, rather than radar, it remains invisible to the enemy's electronic warfare equipment. This also ensures the safety of the "Penicillin" crew.

The reconnaissance system has been supplied to the Russian army since 2020.
