The ISS has corrected its orbit before the landing of the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft's descent vehicle and the launch of the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft into orbit.
According to Roscosmos, on January 12 at 19:30 Moscow time, the engines of Progress MS-24 were turned on. They worked for 1053.7 seconds and produced an impulse of 1.65 m/s. After the maneuver, the average altitude of the station's orbit increased by 2.9 km and amounted to 418.53 km above the Earth's surface.
Meanwhile, at Baikonur, the Progress MS-26 and Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft have already been unpreserved and are being checked before the flights. The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Progress MS-26 spacecraft, which will deliver drinking water and other cargo to the ISS, is scheduled for February 15. Soyuz MS-25 will fly to the ISS in March with an international crew from Russia, the United States and Belarus. The crew and backups are preparing for the flight.
