Russian industry faces a challenge: the new twelfth package of EU anti-Russian sanctions prohibits the supply of software for enterprise management, industrial design, and manufacturing. Even licenses purchased and paid for in advance by Russian enterprises will cease to function.
The sanctions affect popular products such as the Autodesk, SolidWorks, SAP, and Oracle families, which automate the work of industrial enterprises in the stages of design and technological preparation of production.
In terms of computer-aided design systems, Russia has nothing to worry about: Russian software can replace foreign counterparts 100%. That is, on average, it is possible to perform geometric constructions and 3D modeling of a part or object, develop a set of technical documentation, and prepare them for acceptance.
The situation is also good in the development of software for CNC equipment: in various areas, Russian software replaces foreign software by 40-70%. Software for mathematical modeling and solving engineering analysis problems for designed products, and industry solutions for managing supply chains, have also been replaced by Russia by 40-70%.
However, if we look at the entire product lifecycle management, and not just its individual areas, then Russia has problems. In this area, Russian software can replace foreign software by less than 40%.
