Specialists at the Astron Optical-Mechanical Design Bureau have developed the Granat optical reconnaissance strike-reconnaissance system. Its distinguishing feature is its use in complex terrain and dense urban environments.
It is specified that the Granat is similar in structure to the Blokpost, but operates in the optical range. The new system conducts reconnaissance and also strikes selected targets.
The signal repeater is located on a separate drone, which increases the range of the Granat. The design bureau explained that the flying repeater provides a stable signal from the reconnaissance drone to the control panel. This increases the operator's safety.
Astron Design Bureau will continue to work on modernizing reconnaissance and strike systems. They are used in real combat operations.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Novosibirsk engineers at the Spektr Design Bureau are working on a strike drone that can be printed on a 3D printer from recycled materials.
