Will last a quarter of a century: Roselectronics has created an SMD paste that "extends the life" of resistors

The Oksid plant has developed a resistive paste for chip resistors

Engineers at the Novosibirsk Radio Parts Plant "Oksid" (part of Roselectronics) have developed a new generation of resistive paste for the production of chip resistors (Surface Mount Device, SMD - a resistor consisting of a resistive layer applied to a ceramic substrate - editor's note www1.ru).

The press service of Roselectronics clarified that the resistive paste is characterized by a high content of palladium, ruthenium and silver. The use of precious materials has increased the service life of electronic components up to 25 years. It is emphasized that foreign analogues, after being mounted on a printed circuit board, last only 5 years.

Chip resistors support the required current in an electrical circuit. They are used in the manufacture of mobile phones, automotive and industrial electronics.

After the scandal in the public sector due to counterfeit components for computers, Russia began to pay attention to the production of domestic parts for electronics.

Earlier it was reported that the company "Neks-T" began to produce motherboards with support for Russian processors in Moscow.
