The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has shown underwater reconnaissance images using the unmanned "Argus" vehicle, developed at CDB "Rubin". This is a universal monitoring system designed to search for and develop an underwater field.
In particular, "Argus" conducts underwater exploration of minerals, collects information about the structure of the seabed and the state of the aquatic environment, and finds a site suitable for laying a pipeline.
The average speed of "Argus" is up to 3 knots per hour, the maximum is up to 8 knots per hour. In autonomous mode, the underwater vehicle can stay for 24 hours at a depth of up to 6 km.
"Argus" was presented at the "Army-2023" forum in Kubinka near Moscow. It was reported that the skeleton of the vehicle is made of titanium, and its hull is made of composite.
The underwater drone can perform work as part of a group of five vehicles. "Argus" can also be used in search operations.
