How do you like this, Elon Musk?: Era-GLONASS is 8 years ahead of Tesla, having implemented the SOS button

Tesla announced the automatic 911 call function in case of an accident

The American company Tesla, owned by entrepreneur Elon Musk, has announced the introduction of an automatic call to 911 (the US rescue service) in the event of an accident by the end of 2023.

According to the press service of the Era-GLONASS information system manufacturer, such a service started working in Russia back in 2015. Then, all cars imported and manufactured in the country were equipped with devices connected to Era-GLONASS.

The emergency call function (SOS) saves thousands of drivers every year. Tesla cars driven by Russians are also connected to it. The system includes about 700 electric vehicles, the company noted.

Earlier it was reported that in 2024, GLONASS will introduce another service - searching for a stolen car. To do this, specialists will modernize the SOS button.

Era-GLONASS not only ensures the safety of the driver, but also helps reduce costs. Thanks to satellite monitoring, logistics business owners save about 30% on fuel.
