Возле крупных российских автотрасс «Ростелеком» поставит новые вышки сотовой связи

The M-12, M-4, and M-11 Highways Will Be the First to Receive Stable Connection

Rostelecom and Avtodor will build infrastructure for cellular communication and mobile internet along major Russian highways. The companies have signed a corresponding agreement.

Pillar LLC, affiliated with Rostelecom, will build antennas and masts near highways managed by Avtodor. All mobile operators will be able to use them.

The first and priority sections for providing communication will be:

  • M-12 Vostok highway in the Chuvash Republic and on the Dyurtyuli-Achit section;
  • M-4 Don highway (bypasses of Aksay and Krasnodar);
  • M-11 Neva highway (bypass of Tver).

Later, other federal highways will be addressed. The agreement between Rostelecom and Avtodor will help mobile operators to quickly fulfill the legal requirement to provide cellular coverage for major federal highways.
