Digital rubles can be exchanged for cash or non-cash rubles, he explained. In addition, the Bank of Russia and the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation plan to test the use of the digital ruble in the budgetary sphere.
We are talking about social payments, subsidies. The government believes that machinations are impossible with this format of currency, since they have a certain marking.
Recall that the mass introduction of the digital ruble in Russia is scheduled for 2025. The pilot project, launched in August 2023, involves 13 domestic banks, as well as several hundred individuals.
