"Akhmatkas" and "Psychopaths": Russian FPV drone operators are using new ammunition

Instead of plastic explosives - octogen: Russian FPV drone operators are testing new ammunition

A demolition expert with the call sign Psych said that Russian soldiers are using unique ammunition on FPV drones (equipped with a camera that transmits a real-time image) - "Akhmatkas" and "Psychopaths".

The ammunition is manufactured at the Akhmat special forces air reconnaissance school. The shells, which are equipped with drones for dropping or kamikaze drones, were invented by Psych himself.

According to him, "Akhmatkas" are filled with plastic explosives and steel balls with a radius of 3 mm and are suitable for destroying the enemy. Such ammunition replaces VOG-17 and VOG-25. "Psychopaths" are 10 times more powerful than F-1 and RGD grenades and destroy enemy equipment and dugouts.

Instead of plastic explosives, Psych plans to use octogen, and also intends to use a new projectile with a thermobaric warhead. New types of ammunition are supplied to Akhmat and fighters of other units.

Earlier it was reported that developers from KB "Hortensia" presented a new modification of the FPV drone.
