The first 3D printer for foundry production (sand molds for foundry tooling - editor's note www1.ru) consisting entirely of Russian components will be produced in 2024, according to Mikhail Danilenko, Managing Director of KMZ Holding (Kિંગisepp Machine-Building Plant).
According to him, the holding has already received subsidies from the state for the implementation of this project. KMZ is expected to manufacture 20 such printers by 2027. The equipment will be sold in Russian and foreign markets, Danilenko added.
The printer will be fully Russified, with Russian software, its own resins and sand
It is known that 3D printing accelerates the working cycle of creating a mold for casting. A high-precision master model is made in just a few hours. At the same time, it 100% matches the digital copy. The use of a 3D printer reduces the cost of producing master models and allows you to quickly create prototypes of products.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that Rosatom is developing a 3D printing technology that can be used to create parts for nuclear facilities. The first developments are already being tested.
