The Baltic Fleet will soon be replenished. The newest small missile ship (MRK) "Burya" of project 22800 "Karakurt" from CMEA "Almaz" is undergoing state tests at sea ranges.
The previous "Karakurts" had a universal firing complex with eight cells for Kalibr and Onyx cruise missiles, an AK-176MA automatic artillery gun and an Igla MANPADS.
MRK "Burya" is equipped with basic and modern control systems, RTV, radio communications, navigation, electronic warfare and countermeasures, and anti-sabotage weapons.
The MRK being tested in the waters now has a new Pantsir-M anti-aircraft missile and gun system on board.
Soon it will hit training targets in the air. For the Pella shipyard, this is the second such sample of "Karakurts" with such an addition.
However, it is possible that "Buryas" with a displacement of almost 800 tons will be equipped with a newer version of this ZRPK. "Pantsir-ME" can fire at four attacking objects, providing a kill zone of up to 20 kilometers in range and up to 15 km in height, and is installed on ships with a displacement of 500 tons or more.
