Instead of Sehol X4: "Moskvich" to Present Self-Developed Electric Vehicle in 2025

The Moscow-based "Moskvich" plant will present a self-developed electric vehicle in 2025, according to the company's production director, Oleg Maslyakov.

According to him, the main components of such a car, including the electric motor and traction battery, will be of Russian origin.

The plant was relaunched in 2022 at the site of the "Renault Russia" plant, which belonged to the French concern Renault. After the manufacturer left the Russian market, Renault transferred the plant to the Moscow authorities. Then 50% of the company passed to KamAZ, the current technological partner of "Moskvich".

Currently, the plant produces three models: a crossover, a sedan, and an electric vehicle. Moreover, the latter - "Moskvich 3e" - is a rebadge of the Chinese crossover Sehol X4 (JAC JS4).

It was previously reported that KamAZ introduced car sharing for its employees in tandem with "Moskvich".
