The State Duma is considering a bill that would allow fuel and energy companies to protect themselves from spies and saboteurs.
Private security guards of such enterprises are proposed to be given the right to shoot down all drones that are too close to the entrusted territory. A draft law with this idea was submitted to the State Duma in early November, and on the eve of the plenary session of the Federation Council, they called for speeding up its consideration and adoption.
I ask the Committee on Economic Policy and the Committee on Defense: please take care of it, let's adopt it faster! We must shoot down, of course, we must ensure security.
Currently, employees can open direct fire or use anti-drone weapons against any suspicious drones and robots:
- Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard;
- Ministry of Emergency Situations;
- Main Directorate of Special Programs of the President;
- FSB, FSIN, FSO, SVR;
- State Courier Service;
- departmental security.
