Ozdoev also noted that "the descendants of the \"Smerch\" in 300 mm caliber will remain the most powerful MLRS of the Russian army."
Tornado-S is a modernized version of Smerch. Like Smerch, it has several directions for attack. The range of missiles has been increased to 120 km, as well as their speed. During flight, each missile can have an individual task and use the GLONASS navigation system.
