Russia has developed new proprietary equipment for the transportation and temporary storage of liquefied gases: natural gas, nitrogen, oxygen, ethylene. The unique container tanks are a product of Uralcryomash, a subsidiary of Uralvagonzavod of the Rostec Group.
The equipment functions properly at temperatures from -60°C to +50°C, and the non-drain storage time of LNG in it is at least 80 days. There are no other container tanks with similar characteristics in Russia.
The volume of the container is 45 cubic meters, which was increased by placing the body ribs on the outer surface of the tank.
The outer shell of the container is made of stainless steel. When exposed to the tank from the outside, it can prevent product spillage and avoid a catastrophe. The developers of the container tank filled the space between the walls with multi-layer cryogenic superinsulation.
