The Russian company "Motorinvest", whose production facilities are located in the Lipetsk region, does not rule out the production of cars with an internal combustion engine (ICE), said Sergey Mamontov, deputy head of the company.
Currently, electric vehicles are assembled here under the Evolute brand. According to him, Motorinvest's production is mobile, so it can be quickly reoriented to the production of ICE vehicles. The management is focused on working in the direction that brings profit, he stressed.
We will not discuss horizons and models yet
Mamontov also stated that it is possible to talk about small-node assembly with an increase in the number of cars produced. The deputy head of Motorinvest added that it is not worth introducing this type of assembly if we are talking about the production of 10 thousand cars.
The company has been operating since 2014, Great Wall Hover was assembled here. Later, Motorinvest produced the Changan CS35 crossover. Since last year, Chinese Dongfeng electric vehicles have been assembled in the Lipetsk region under the Evolute brand.
Earlier it was reported that Evolute in 2023 plans to sell about 7.5 thousand cars, and up to 12 thousand next year.
