The unmanned helicopter BAS-200, produced by the Russian Helicopters holding (part of Rostec), was presented at the Russian stand at the air show in Dubai. The aircraft attracted the attention of event guests, especially members of delegations from Arab and African countries.
The BAS-200 is built on a classic scheme with a lift and steering rotors. It consists of a ground station (a place for the pilot and the operator of the target equipment), two unmanned helicopters and a transport container. The control range is 100 km, and when the signal is relayed from station to station, it is increased to 400 km.
With this, you can control moving and static objects, broadcast video in real time, for example, from a fire or in a disaster area. The BAS-200 also allows delivery of goods, geological exploration, and territory patrol. On its base, you can install a gravimeter, a magnetometer, optoelectronic systems.
The BAS-200 was sent to serial production at the KumAPP aircraft factory in the Republic of Bashkortostan. In 2023, the drone, as part of the tests, delivered goods to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. Its maximum take-off weight was 200 kg.
The authorities of Yakutia plan to implement the BAS-200 in regional infrastructure projects. It is expected that the helicopter will be used for cargo transportation, search operations, and environmental monitoring.
It was previously reported that the attack helicopter Ka-52 attracted attention of the American delegation at Dubai Aviashow.
