The St. Petersburg-based company "Russian All-Terrain Vehicles Plastun" produces Plastun-SN tracked all-terrain vehicles (special purpose - editor's note www1.ru) for the Russian Ministry of Defense. This was announced by the company's CEO, Erik Sagymbaev.
"Russian All-Terrain Vehicles Plastun" presented the army all-terrain vehicle "Plastun" in 2023. The vehicle was developed for the needs of the defense department, and its testing was carried out at the NAMI Testing Center.
According to Sagymbaev, the "Plastun-SN" is a lightly armored all-terrain vehicle for evacuation. However, it can be used for other tasks, including reconnaissance and as a fire platform, on which an 82 mm mortar can be installed.
It is noted that the model received combined protection (classes Br3, Br4), while it does not have a rigid roof. Thanks to this, the crew of the "Plastun-SN" can quickly enter/exit, load stretchers, and deploy observation devices.
The total number of passengers on board the all-terrain vehicle is 8; in evacuation mode, there can be 4 rescuers and two injured people (lying on stretchers) inside.
The weight of the "Plastun-SN" is 3.8 tons, and the width of the all-season track is 50 cm. The all-terrain vehicle moves at a maximum speed of up to 50 km/h.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that Russian developers presented the "Kaluzhanin" all-terrain vehicle drone for driving on snow and swamp. Its serial production will begin in early 2024.
