The St. Petersburg company "Russian All-Terrain Vehicles Plastun" produces tracked all-terrain vehicles "Plastun-SN" (special purpose - note by www1.ru editors) for the Russian Ministry of Defense. This was announced by the company's CEO Erik Sagymbaev.
"Russian All-Terrain Vehicles Plastun" presented the army all-terrain vehicle "Plastun" in 2023. The equipment was developed for the needs of the defense department, its testing was carried out at the NAMI Test Center.
According to Sagymbaev, "Plastun-SN" is a lightly armored all-terrain vehicle for evacuation. However, it can be used for other tasks, including reconnaissance and as a fire platform on which an 82 mm mortar is installed.
It is noted that the model received combined protection (classes Br3, Br4), while it does not have a rigid roof. Thanks to this, the crew of "Plastun-SN" can quickly enter/exit, load stretchers, and deploy surveillance devices.
The total number of passengers on board the all-terrain vehicle is 8, in evacuation mode there can be 4 rescuers and two victims inside (lying on stretchers).
The weight of "Plastun-SN" is 3.8 tons, the width of the all-season track is 50 cm. The all-terrain vehicle moves with a maximum speed of up to 50 km/h.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that Russian developers presented the all-terrain vehicle-drone "Kaluzhanin" for driving on snow and swamp. Its serial production will begin in early 2024.
