New cruise missile target simulators have been developed in Kazan to train and prepare Russian military personnel for combat missions. RIA Novosti writes about this, citing the developers of this product from Eniks JSC.
It is noted that the new E17 aerial targets, based on the predecessor E95 produced by Eniks, simulate cruise missiles of various systems. They operate on pulsating and turbojet engines. The targets allow training operators of air defense systems for combat missions.
The E17 will simulate low-flying targets to repel attacks from a potential enemy using the Tor, Buk, and Pantsir air defense systems. They will be able to reach speeds of up to 360 kilometers per hour.
It is expected that after state tests, they will enter mass production as early as 2024.
