The Russian telecommunications company “Vympel-Communications” (“VimpelCom”, owns the brand “Beeline”) has acquired 95% of LLC “CDN-Video” (operator of the content delivery network CDNVideo - note of the www1.ru editor), which is confirmed by the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE).
It is noted that changes were made in the USRLE on August 30. According to SPARK, VimpelCom bought 88% from Hong Kong Wangsu, 5% from the CEO of CDNvideo Yaroslav Gorodetsky, and another 2% from the technical director of the company Sergey Ivlenkov.
CDNVideo owns a content delivery network, the nodes of which are installed in major cities of Russia, as well as in the countries of the CIS, USA, Israel, Singapore. The services of the company are used by VGTRK, REN-TV and about 20 other Russian TV channels. CDNVideo occupies up to 50% of the Russian content delivery market. In 2022, the company's revenue exceeded 500 million rubles.
In early October, it was reported that the foreign holding Veon wants to sell 100% of VimpelCom to a Russian company. The buyer may be JSC Copernic-invest 3. Therefore, the operator “Beeline” will change its owner.
