Rosatom's wind power division, NovaWind, is expanding beyond Russia. The company has signed an agreement with the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund to develop and implement an investment project for the construction of a wind power plant in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan.
According to NovaWind's press service, the future wind farm will generate 100 MW of power.
This will not be NovaWind's first experience. Over the past three years, the company has already installed nine wind farms in Russia - in Adygea, the Rostov region, and the Stavropol Territory. Their design capacity is 1 GW.
Generators, nacelles, cooling systems for wind turbines, and other necessary components for the construction of wind power plants are produced on Russian territory.
