Russian users of Xiaomi products have been complaining since the evening of October 4 about failures of the company's application called Mi Home. "Smart homes", light bulbs, robot vacuum cleaners, kitchens, video cameras and other devices stopped working, it was not possible to start them manually. There are also failures in the operation of ordinary smartphones.
Messages about this appeared on the official pages of the company in Russia, in the comments to posts on it. Similar problems occur in Belarus. Users of both countries also write that they cannot log in to the official website of the company in their accounts. And when rebooting and reconnecting to Wi-Fi, the devices simply turn off.
According to the Mash Telegram channel, citing its sources, the problem is a failure on Xiaomi servers. The same answer can be found in the comments on the company's pages in social networks from its representatives. However, there is no official message on the company's official global resources yet.
The Chinese company did not leave the Russian market in 2022, even under the threat of sanctions. She actively fulfilled all Russian requirements for electronic devices imported from abroad. Xiaomi even took the first steps to work with Yandex – they developed a smart display with an integrated Alice voice assistant.
