Adil Shirinov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC "Sollers", announced that they plan to launch the assembly of an electric car in Ulyanovsk in 2025. It will be a light-duty truck Argo.
The key feature of this project is that we will produce an electric light-duty vehicle Argo. We are preparing another project that will be launched here, on the territory of our plant, on the territory of Ulyanovsk, which will be implemented, I hope, by the end of next year, but definitely in the first quarter of 2025 will be launched here.
In the meantime, the usual version of Sollers Argo is being assembled on the UAZ assembly line - with a diesel engine. Production began on September 7, and it is planned to produce more than 2 thousand cars by the end of the year.
According to our plans, we plan to produce up to 10 thousand units of this product in accordance with the development of the project. This year we will produce more than 2 thousand cars.
Next year, according to the top manager, the production volume of Sollers Argo in Ulyanovsk will increase by more than 50%.
