Kaliningrad "Avtotor" has launched mass production of KAIYI X3 and X3 Pro crossovers. By and large, this is one model: the regular version differs from the Pro version only in units, interior and exterior features, as well as equipment.
The KAIYI X3 has a 1.5-liter gasoline naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 113 hp and a CVT. The equipment of such a car includes a digital instrument panel with a 7-inch screen and a media system with a 10.25-inch screen, a keyless entry system, a rear-view camera and cruise control.
The KAIYI X3 Pro is more powerful: it has a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 147 hp, but the transmission is the same - a CVT. The equipment of the Pro version has everything that the regular KAIYI X3 has, as well as wireless charging for a smartphone and a surround view system.
The dimensions of the KAIYI X3 are 4400 x 1831 x 1653 mm, the wheelbase is 2632 mm. The Pro version does not differ in size. These cars have exclusively front-wheel drive. Kaiyi's new products will appear at official dealers in the near future, prices have not yet been announced.
As part of the preparation for the launch of production at Avtotor, new equipment was installed, personnel were trained, and a quality control audit was conducted with the participation of representatives of the Kaiyi brand. At the first stage, crossovers will be assembled by large-node method, in the future it is planned to master welding and painting of bodies, while some components will be localized.
