AutoVAZ announced today about the resumption of production of Lada Largus, which was stopped last spring. Initially, assembly was supposed to resume in September, but AutoVAZ managed to do it earlier.

In total, 650 cars of various modifications of Lada Largus are planned to be produced in August 2023. This figure also includes machine sets for experimental batch of LADA e-Largus electric vehicles, which will be assembled in Izhevsk by the end of this year.

The factory will also assemble several bodies, which will subsequently be used to adjust the technological equipment for mass assembly of the station wagon. The mass production of Lada Largus will begin in 2024 – after the corresponding equipment is transferred to the factory in Izhevsk (where Lada Vesta was assembled before).

The break in the production of Largus [from September 2023 to the second quarter of 2024] will also allow Russian suppliers to master an additional range of components to increase technological sovereignty for this model.
