Yuri Kozarenko, CEO of the company "Transport of the Future", spoke about his vision for the development of the air taxi industry. The top manager believes that full-fledged flights on this type of transport in Russia will be carried out as early as 2030.
Air taxis will go into mass production in a few years, after the first standard versions of their application have been worked out, and after cargo drones throughout the Russian industry have demonstrated their reliability and safety. Use in dozens and hundreds of pieces is 2025-2026, and if we take large-scale use, already full-fledged flights and deliveries, then this is 2030.
"Transport of the Future" is currently developing unmanned aviation systems under the Hi-Fly brand for the delivery of passengers and cargo. According to the head of the company, at the initial stage, air taxis will be used in the suburbs of Moscow and St. Petersburg, with the help of this transport citizens will be delivered to airports.
In June 2023, the authorities of the Samara region signed an agreement with the company to create a cluster of unmanned aviation, in which 20 billion rubles will be invested.
